Many thanks to all!
Although we didn’t receive complete lists from all the participants, to date 99 species of birds (including Osprey) were recorded during this morning. The most unexpected observations were perhaps that of two Squacco Herons (at Lake Morat), as well as some very early Greenshank, Redshank and Spotted Redshank migrants (one of each). Another surprise was a female Red-crested Pochard accompanied by 15 chicks, which perhaps were not all her own. Some participants also had good views of Wild Boar, Red Fox and Eurasian Beaver. So even if not everyone was lucky enough to see an Osprey, there were still plenty of other nice species to observe. Great thanks again to all the volunteers who participated in this very productive first Osprey Morning of the season.
